Replacing an external door

In this case, the existing door frame was still in good condition, making replacing this door an easy fix for our team. We simply removed the old door, inspected the door trim for any signs of wood rot, and hung a new door. Good as new!

Repairing rotten window trim

Many times when people discover wood rot like this they are quick to assume they need a whole new window. However, the window trim is actually separate from the window. If there is no direct damage to the window, we are often able to replace or repair the trim without having to replace the entire window. This is a quick and cost-effective way to deal with rot and important home repairs.

For this particular client, we removed the rotten wood from the window trim and replaced it with new wood. We then wrapped all exposed wood in aluminum wrapping to increase its durability. After the final sealant and finishing touches, these windows and their trim are good to go for many more years!

Installing new windows & Trim

In some cases, replacing windows may be necessary. This could be to tackle damage, improve insulation, or switch up your home's aesthetics. Whatever the reason, our team takes great care in window replacements and repairs.

If needed, we'll start by removing the old windows and damaged window trim. After completing this stage, we go to work on installing the new windows. Once installed and inspected, we add the interior and exterior trim, seal everything, and put on any finishing touches.

The benefits of new windows

In combination with new trim, new windows often provide much better insulation. Newer, more modern windows tend to be thicker, providing increased energy efficiency and noise cancellation. Not only does this help lower your electric bill and add an extra level of comfort, but it also helps keep out unwanted pests, dust, and water, not to mention improves the overall aesthetic of your home.
